LIVE IT Features Update - August 2023

We've added lots of big new features to our ticket sales platform lately, but we're also constantly hard at work improving what already exists, and adding smaller functions that make selling and scanning tickets even easier. Here's a quick roundup of what's been added in the last quarter:

Stripe checkout

Stripe Checkout supports a vast array of payment methods for maximum flexibility. These include major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), as well as digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay) and various local payment options around the world.

Improved stats dashboards - per-event and global

We now show new and updated headline stats on an event's dashboard and on the unified organiser-wide stats page. For ticket stats you can now see:

  • The number of tickets that were "paid".
  • The number of those paid tickets that were made free due to discounts.
  • The number of tickets that were free due their ticket type being free.

For financial stats you can asee:

  • The total face value price of all tickets sold with discounts applied.
  • The average value of each booking with discounts taken into consideration.

We've also optimised our dashboards a fair bit, so they should be loading a lot faster, particularly for big events with lots of sales.

Ticket Deals

Organisers can now configure deals that allow them to charge different prices when customers book certain combinations of tickets.

For example, create a family discount, wherein if two adult and two child tickets are added to the cart, the price of the adult tickets is reduced. Or a couple's discount, wherein if two tickets are purchased, the price is reduced by £5. These can be valid for online bookings, box-office bookings, or both.

Sales report page filter

The sales report page now has a new filter that allows users to choose whether to sort events by title or start date. You can also choose whether to show or hide archived or live events in the list of events to choose from.

Improved membership at-a-glance stats on dashboard

Previously, on the main organiser dashboard, membership schemes showed the same ticket inventory information as regular events. This wasn't helpful for membership schemes. We've replaced it with information about the number of active memberships and individual members, to make at-a-glance reads of membership numbers both possible and easy.

This change has been applied to both the expanded and compact views.

Take donations in the box office

It is now possible to sell donations in the box office. To do so, just select their "ticket type" as you would for a ticket or merchandise in the box office, and a dialogue will appear for you to set the amount being donated. This amount will be prefilled with the ticket type's value as set on the donation's ticket type.

The dialogue offers a field to type a new amount, as well as a buttons to clear the field, and increase its value by set increments (£1, £5, £10, £20). When a donation has been added it is shown in the basket with edit and delete buttons. Pressing the edit button reopens the previous dialog with the previously set value prefilled so that you can make any desired changes.

Add charity partners

We have added the option to show a charity name, logo and description to the booking page. Drop us a line at support@liveit.io if you would like this enabled.

Global discount code export

You can now generate a CSV report listing all your global discount codes. The report can be generated by clicking "Download CSV" in "Global discount codes" under "My account". The report includes the code, title, amount, valid from/to, quantity used and more.

Updated the add to calendar app

We have replaced our “Add to calendar” and “Add to Google calendar” links with a single link to a new app which works with more calendar services.

Various UI improvements and streamlines

We're constantly working to make our platform easier and more intuitive to use. Of particular note, we've cut down on the amount of text across the event set-up process, hidden certain rarely-used controls behind "advanced settings" dropdowns to clean pages up, and streamlined the guided event set-up checklist.
